But we don't NEED more than 9,000 fans at games
9k is more than enough to create a great atmosphere in Cassell. The goal is not to get butts in seats anymore. That model of fan engagement and revenue generating is outdated.
The new model is to give fans a better overall "experience" so that they choose this entertainment over all the other options. And you don't need to generate revenue from volume (more tickets, more concessions). Revenue can just as easily be generated from higher prices (concessions, parking, donations, etc.) which come with the better experience.
Plus, recruits don't really care about number of fans. The tv coverage gets them the exposure they want. The enhanced experience will benefit their families when they are able to attend. And the overall enhanced Cassell will help sell the program to recruits. This design is the best for our needs over the next 20+ years.
